1. Make a brown footprint on a sheet of paper with the toes pointed downwards. 2. Glue on 2 googly eyes or draw/paint eyes on. 3. Paint on a beak and a red wattle. We used a red glitter glue pen for ours! 4. Glue feathers on the top and sides of the brown footprint. 5. Optional: Add a cute saying or write Happy Thanksgiving.
How to Make a Thanksgiving Handprint and Footprint Turkey Craft
Paint your child's left hand first on the canvas, and tilt the hand slightly when printing on the left and right prints. Then paint the right hand and print towards the right side of the canvas. The last handprint will be right in the middle between the other two, and it should be a tad higher than the other two so that you can see it once.

1 Trace your feet on a piece of construction paper. When tracing your feet, it's not necessary to go in between your toes. Just trace the outline of what your feet look like. The two feet will be glued together to form the turkey's body. Trace both your left and right foot.

Turn the paper with the feathers upside down and put the footprint on the paper. Set them aside to dry. While they are drying, we cut out a triangle beaks out of the orange construction paper, and the turkey necks out of the red construction paper. Set footprint aside to dry. Cut around the handprints and footprints. Cut a red waddle (teardrop shape) and a yellow beak (triangle shape) and have the child glue them and a googly eye to the heel side of their footprint to make the turkey face. Have the child glue handprints to the back of their footprint.
